Dave Bennett, BSc. (HK), BHSc.PT, CAFCI

Clinic Director

Dave is happy to be a part of the Altima Physio team! Dave brings fifteen plus years of experience as a Physiotherapist, and his passion for patient care makes him a great asset to the team.

Dave attended McMaster University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Physiotherapy. He is a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Altima Physio is proud to be a site of clinical instruction for both Physiotherapy and Athletic Therapy students, and Dave holds the position of Clinical Professor with the School of Rehabilitation, McMaster University. Dave has formal advanced and specialized training in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, Advanced Acupuncture AFCI, Shift Concussion Management Program, Custom Knee Bracing, and Fit-Fore-Golf specific rehab. Dave places high value in the experience his patients receive and works to achieve high and successful measured outcomes with each individual, based on their specific goals.

In his spare time, Dave enjoys riding bikes, skiing, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.


Jason Paquette, R. Kin, C.A.T. (c), BSc. (HK), Dip SIM,

Registered Kinesiologist

Certified Athletic Therapist

Jason has a passion for health, wellness and rehabilitation and has been a member of the Altima Physio team in Milton since 2003.

He completed an undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa in 1999. During his studies he focused on exercise physiology, fitness testing and training. Also he worked as a student therapist with the varsity football and women's soccer team. Jason is an active member of the College of Kinesiologist in Ontario.

Jason furthered his studies at the Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning and graduated in 2002 from the Sports Injury Management Program. Upon completion he obtained his professional designation as a Certified Athletic Therapist and now is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association and the Ontario Athletic Therapists Association.

He has kept close ties to Sheridan as an active member in the Program Advisor Committee, co-op students supervisor and evaluating practical comprehensive exams. Jason continued his passion for learning by teaching anatomy, physiology and pathology at ICT Kikkawa Massage Therapy School.

Also, Jason has expanded his professional development by taking various continuing education courses in manual therapy (including myofascial release, muscel energy and advance rehabilitation techniques on the neck, back, shoulder and TMJ). He also is certified in CPR, First Aid, AED and Advanced Medical First Responder.

In addition he has been active within the community coaching minor hockey for 10 years.

Richa Singh, B.P.TH, M.P.TH (ortho),
Dip. FHP,

Registered Physiotherapist

Richa is a Registered Physiotherapist with 2 years of experience in Orthopedic Physiotherapy. Richa holds Bachelors in Physiotherapy and Masters in Orthopeadic Physiotherapy degree from India. She has a keen interest in learning about biomechanics and its impact on injuries which led her to working in a Spine Speciality Clinic which gave her an indepth view of the impact of injuries on a persons overall lifestyle.

Her passion for helping people understand about their health and wellness in this fast paced world led her to persue Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion in Canada. Richa has a holistic approach towards therapy and firmly believes in treating the cause rather than just the symptoms.

She has a knack for helping people achieve their health goals and guide them towards leading an active and injury free lifestyle. With her academic background and experience, she brings in expertise in areas of exercise and manual therapy techniques such as: MWM, and Mckenzie and continues to polish her skills.

In her spare time she likes to explore Canada, hiking, reading and spending time with her friends.

TIM MCGUIRE

Chiropractor

Dr. Tim graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2008 and has been practicing in private healthcare centres with a multi-disciplinary evidence based approach consisting of medical doctors, dentistry, optometry and rehabilitation (physiotherapy, massage, acupuncture). He has been practicing for over 10 years and his areas of expertise are mainly in sports and musculoskeletal injuries.

Dr. Tim has experience treating injuries related to motor vehicle accidents, sport injuries, post surgical conditions and work injuries.

His approach to treatment is an evidence-based practice and involves a patient centred approach. The protocol involves a thorough assessment and evaluation followed by patient education and treatment consisting of modalities (shockwave, Graston), an active care rehab program (stretching, strength, conditioning) and manual /therapy (ART-active release therapy; SMT –spinal manipulation techniques; mobilizations, EMT – extremity manipulative therapy).



Matthew Maron

Registered Massage Therapist

Matthew has many years of experience as a registered massage therapist. He strives to help patients get back to their lives pain free. Matthew uses a variety of techniques that include deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy. We are super excited to have him on our team.

In Matthew’s spare time he enjoys sports, spending time with his kids and being outdoors.


Lauren Furik, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Lauren is a 2018 Honours graduate of the Mohawk College Massage Therapy program. Through her education, Lauren has practical experience working with diverse groups, including the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Ontario college athletic programs, chronic pain clinics and retirement residences.

Whether you are recovering from an injury, dealing with stress, pain or discomfort, Lauren listens to and works with her clients to develop the best treatment plan. 

Using techniques, such as general Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, relaxation techniques and remedial exercises, Lauren aims to help her clients get back to feeling their best.

Away from the clinic, you can catch Lauren on the slopes, fields or courts participating in her favourite sports or on the water at her family cottage.

Devin Coish, B.Kin, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Devin started his journey in the industry by attending and graduating from the University of Toronto’s kinesiology program. While in school at U of T he also became a certified personal trainer and has been applying his kinesiology knowledge on his clients to allow them to function optimally and achieve their fitness goals. After graduating from U of T with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, Devin went back to school to study massage therapy at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. While attending Sutherland-Chan, Devin learned a wide variety of massage and manual therapy techniques and also gained numerous hours of experience in a variety of speciality clinic settings. Devin has worked with many individuals of various ages, abilities and health statuses such as athletes, pregnant patients, stroke survivors, post surgical patients in a hospital, patients with learning disabilities and much more.  Devin enjoys applying his knowledge and skills to allow him to best aid his clients and give them the highest quality of massage therapy treatments


Elizabeth Ivanic

Having worked in the fast paced Hospitality and Tourism environment for several years, I decided to redirect my focus and began my holistic wellness journey back in early 2000. 

As a client of Body Harmonics Pilates for several years, I felt the profound benefits of the practice and through personal growth and sincere passion to learn, became a student of Body Harmonics.  I acquired my Mat work Comprehensive training in 2006 under the guidance and training of Margot McKinnon, Studio Director and head teacher and have since added a plethora of modalities and courses to my training experience and continuing education.

Elizabeth holds certifications in the following modalities:

Office Manager 

Areaj is our clinic's Office Manager. She takes care of all administrative duties and welcomes all patients with a smile! She has over 5 years of experience and her favourite part of the job is being able to interact with clients. In her spare time she loves watching movies, travelling and spending time with her family and friends. In the future she aspires to enter the field of project management.
